BEST HYSTERICAL DAWN, 2023

Best Hysterical Dawn is a series of four photo collages that incorporate text from my own short story of the same title. These were produced by hand, using mainly cutouts from fashion, art, and true crime magazines. The series explores themes of desire, power dynamics, trauma, and dreams through the disjointed story of a liaison with an older man gone wrong. The original short story is available in its entirety as part of my 2024 creative writing anthology Flowers of Filth.

THIRTY THREE

CONTROLLED MUTILATION, 2023

Controlled Mutilation is a collaborative sound installation that was exhibited at the ARTS Center in San Diego, California. It uses four speakers placed at each corner of a room and places the audience in the center of them. Each audio is approximately ten minutes long and gets progressively louder and more distorted throughout the course of the ten minutes. This is meant as a simulation of an anxiety/panic attack and was influenced by industrial/harsh noise music in its aesthetics and approach. This piece was made in collaboration with artists Cesaire Jose Carroll-Dominguez, Holden Reedy, and Azalea Martinez. An archive of the audios can be found on SoundCloud.

Playing with my food is a video/performance piece that explores themes of body image, eating, and control.

FLOWERS OF FILTH, 2024

Flowers of Filth is my first self-published creative writing anthology. Released in early 2024, and loosely themed around the general topic of violence, it contains a selection of poems, song lyrics, short fictions, and surreal cut-ups. Available on Lulu now.
